As the current chair of the EORTC Head and Neck Cancer Group I would like to introduce the EORTC as an organisation, our recent efforts within the EORTC Head and neck Cancer Group and our collaborative efforts to shape the landscape of research and treatment of head and neck cancer patients.

In the era of IO with finally two positve trials introducing IO in the curative postoperative setting in the treatment of head and neck cancer patient I will try to elobarate on the important role of radiation together with IO. I will explain different approaches how to potentially integrate IO in the definitive setting looking at sequencing, fractionation, RT volumes and dose and how we can learn from different entities.

Bio
I am a radiation oncologist based in Hamburg, Germany, at an academic teaching hospital with focus on research and treatment of head and neck cancer patients.
